IITT-2015 Continues to Magnify Travel Networking in India The Second Edition of IITT-2015 B2B travel and tourism trade exhibition and conference, reinforced its position as one of the most promising Travel Expos in India, serving the inbound, outbound and domestic markets. The show now spread over 15000 sq.m held from 15th -16th-17th January 2015 at Bombay exhibition Centre Mumbai was inaugurated by Mr. Girish Shankar, Additional Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism the 15th Jan 2015 along with top International diplomats from the global tourism industry namely H.E. Mr. Erdal Sabri Ergen – Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, Christopher Rodrigues CBE - Chairman - Visit Britain and leading lady of Bollywood actor Kangana Ranawat.

Also present at the grand inauguration ceremony were leading industry professionals including Guldeep Singh Sahni- President OTOAI, SanJeet- Secretary PATA India, Mr. Sarabjit Singh- Vice Chairman FAITH & Sr. Vice President –IATO, Biji Eipen- National President IAAI, Harmandeep Singh Anand- General Secretary TAAI, Avijit Khadilkar- Joint secretary ETAA.

Girish Shankar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism Govt. of India, Chairman and Managing Director of ITDC addressing the occasion said, “IITT- 2015 is a very fast growing exhibition and the participation has risen to more than 40 percent as compared to last year, exhibition is at par with other exhibitions and the team is very enthusiastic. Year 2014 was a historic year for the tourism industry of our country and one contribution was from IITT also as they started their first initiative in 2014. I believe they have grown to a much larger size in its very second edition and I am very grateful to interact with many industry professionals at this forum.”

H.E. Mr. Erdal Sabri Ergen – Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, said, “IITT happens to be a very well timed show and has been a very good experience in interacting with the Indian counterparts. The show is very well organised. I believe IITT is a very good gateway to Indian tourism industry in Mumbai for Turkish tourist to come to India and Indian tourist come to Turkey.”

‘IITT-2015’ focused on Domestic and Outbound Tourism, Corporate and MICE segments and invited 300+ International and Domestic Fully Hosted Buyers from across 40 countries and 30 cities of India, that were made much more comprehensive with the online Business Matchmaking. The event focused on hosting from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of India which has remained untapped for a very long time. 150 top Corporates visited the event from various sectors namely Architecture, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical Companies, Security Industry and IT Sector.

‘IITT -2015’ saw this year bigger brands in its portfolio, with Turkey Tourism as the Platinum Partner, Kuwait Airlines - Silver Partner, Tamilnadu Tourism- State Partner, Lavasa Corporation Ltd. - Smart City Partner and Grand Hyatt as the Hospitality Partner, Israel Tourism and Oman Tourism as featured International destinations, Bihar Tourism and Madhya Pradesh Tourism as the featured national destinations. Indigo Airlines, Oman Air, Etihad Airways were the featured airlines for the show. Premium States present at the event were Assam, Goa, Telangana, Rajasthan, Bengal, Kerela and Andhra Pradesh Tourism.

The event witnessed participation of 500 + exhibitors from all over the world ranging from International and National Tourism Boards, Tour Operators, Hotel Chains, Aviation Groups, Cruising lines, DMCs, Destination Management Companies and many more.

The 2 Day B2B and 1 Day B2C event saw the attendance of over 7000+ travel professionals from across the globe with all the major travel media covering the event.
